Robot Lines for Gear Handling
Need
Automated Processing Flows
When Scania needed to increase its production volume of gears, they had to restructure and automate their production flows in the existing gear factory.
A complete overhaul was done, restructuring the entire factory into straight, clear manufacturing flows.
Solution
Standardized Robot Cells
- 14 straight, clear production lines
- 47 robot cells
- 4 portal robots
- 45 centrifuges
- 60 SPC units for process sampling
Each line consists of a pallet conveyor (Flexlink) with robots supplying machines with products.
A uniform operator interface throughout the factory hall.
