Volvo Construction Equipment needed to automatically apply two-component adhesive to windows for loaders and excavators to increase capacity and eliminate ergonomically heavy and hazardous manual work.
The glass window is presented in a custom-built packaging. The equipment retrieves the window from the packaging. The equipment automatically applies an adhesive bead along the edge of the glass.
The equipment then places the window in a position where the assembler can retrieve the window with lifting equipment and install it on the cabin.
A total of thirteen different articles; front windshield, rear window, and side windows for loaders and excavators. Two of the windows are curved.
