Need
The customer was in need of a robotized post-processing cell for their product.
The process includes:
- Measuring
- Deburring
- Centrifuging
A compact cell that can do multiple important steps in the manufacturing process.
Solution
For an effective process that would meet the customer's need and expectations a solution as follows was created:
- An ABB IRB 6700 with a double gripper to swap two products in quick and easy manner.
- A Coord3 Universal CMM measuring machine for accurate measurements.
- A custom-made machine for deburring housing an ABB IRB 2600 with a Spintec WM 17 spindle and a tool changing station.
- A custom-made centrifuge for cleaning the product.
