Safety and CE Marking
The Machinery Directive specifies the safety and health requirements for machines manufactured and distributed within the EU. We have extensive experience in CE marking and risk assessing machines, both new and during the retrofit of existing equipment.
Retrofits
If an existing machine is to be modified, it may need to be re-CE marked. We assist you in performing a risk assessment and ensuring that the machine meets all requirements for correct CE marking.
A risk assessment is carried out by our safety engineers. Based on the risk assessment, the work can be performed to ensure that the machine meets current laws and directives after the retrofit.
New Machines
A new machine must be manufactured and CE marked according to the Machinery Directive and applicable standards. Once the machine is in place, it must also comply with the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on machinery.
It is important to conduct a risk assessment early for the machine to actively work with health, safety, functionality, and environment throughout the development process.
We review the machine together with you, identify and assess risks, and ensure that your machine meets all requirements for correct CE marking.
